The Peace & Justice Group is a sub-committee of the Missions Committee. Using scripture from Matthew 25 and the Theological Declaration of Barmen in the Book of Confessions as their foundation, the Peace & Justice group works to serve and support vulnerable populations by focusing on advocacy and directly addressing policy that impacts them. As stated in their Mission Statement, the Peace and Justice group is “committed to the active enhancement of the funding provided by our Mission Committee, and to the discernment of and participation in actions which bring assistance to the vulnerable and the oppressed in our American society today.” For more information email peace-justice@fpcphila.org.
