Matthew Arlyck - Minister for Congregational Care
The Reverend Matthew Arlyck is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) and has served for ten years as a hospital chaplain specializing in trauma, providing spiritual care to patients, their families and staff. Matthew completed his undergraduate degree as a religion major at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY (his hometown) in 1998 and earned a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City in 2013.
Over the past fifteen years Matthew has been an organizer with POWER Interfaith in Philadelphia, has been involved with several faith-based justice movements including Fellowship of Reconciliation and the Interfaith Coalition for Immigrant Justice in Louisville, KY, and has worked in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter. Matthew lives in West Philly, where he rides bikes and fusses over his cats.
