John Gloucester House

The John Gloucester House (JGH) was founded as a Presbytery mission project, a successor initiative in the tradition of the settlement houses. It serves the Point Breeze neighborhood in South Philadelphia. John Gloucester House currently offers upwards of 25 ministries to an area of the city hard hit by population and business decline. Its outreach activities include after school tutorials, an emergency food pantry, an older adult group, and the Pt. Breeze Habitat for Humanity project.

Volunteers are needed for the After School Tutorial Program at John Gloucester House, Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. More info is available on bulletin board outside of church office and in Old Buttonwood Hall. Contact Henry Weaver, Director, at 215-389-5504.
