The First Presbyterian Choir

The choir of The First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia is an important part of worship. Leading the congregation each Sunday to begin the service with a stirring processional hymn and closing the service at the rear of the sanctuary with the choral three-fold amen.

The choir has long been part of worship in the sanctuary at 21st and Walnut. The legendary Alexander McCurdy led the music program at the Second and then the combined First and Second Churches for over 40 years.

A professional ensemble, it continues in the tradition of quality Christian music that was set by its predecessors.
